According to sources speaking to Bloomberg, Apple’s and Intel’s processor friendship is about to end with the company ditching processors made by Intel currently placed in their smartphone and tablets.

It seems that ever since Steve Jobs death Apple wants to slowly become more and more independent by the day, recently ditching Google’s Maps and YouTube app in favour of their own/ none.

Sources speaking to Bloomberg claim that Apple engineers are already working to create a common chip design compatible with mobile devices and computers.

This could be true, especially after Bob Mansfield was moved to a new group named “Technologies” just a few weeks ago, whose aim is to create “ambitious plans for the future.”

What do you think about this? Will Apple make the change?
