Finally Apple and HTC have reached a settlement to their patent dispute with a 10-year cross-licensing agreement, which was revealed in a joint statement that was released by both companies.

Here are the two quotes taken from the press release:

“HTC is pleased to have resolved its dispute with Apple, so HTC can focus on innovation instead of litigation,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC.

“We are glad to have reached a settlement with HTC,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. “We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation.”

Does this mean that Apple has found a new way of settling its disputes quickly, instead of the previous long-winded court cases.

Well I guess we will just have to wait and see for that, in the meantime check out the press release below for more information.
