As expected, Apple has just announced the new 4-inch iPhone SE today.
Designed for the user who wants a smaller phone than something like the 6S, but still wants great performance and a sleek design.
It will be available in a design that is similar to the iPhone 5, with glass on the top and bottom of the back, but an aluminum design. It will also be available in Apple’s new colour options, including rose gold.
It is also as powerful as the iPhone 6S, with a 64-bit A9 processor, and an always-on M9 motion coprocessor.
In fact, Apple calls it the “most powerful 4-inch phone ever”.
To top that off, the SE also has a 12-megapixel camera, with focus pixels, two-tone flash, with an image signal processor and panorama capturing up to 63MP.
It can also capture 4K content, with live photos.
They also say it has the most affordable price plan that Apple has ever announced with a phone, with pricing from $399 for the 16GB model, or $499 for the 64GB model. It will be available to pre-order from March 24th, and will launch on March 31st.
You can pick it up from Apple’s website, or from various retailers and carriers, in the UK the SE will be priced at £359 for the 16GB and £439 for the 64GB model, both of which are the unlocked versions from Apple.
If you are spending that much money, it might be a good idea to pick up insurance. Thankfully there’s already a great package available from Surewise in the UK for the iPhone SE that you can get a quote for today.
