Apple has today updated a couple of items in their software selection, launching the new Apple Logic Pro X software, alongside a new update to its MainStage 3 software for mac.

Following on from the naming style of Final Cut Pro, the new software includes a ton of new features, some of which we are going to explain here.

One of the first is a new Drummer feature, that will allow the player to load up a virtual session that will begin playing automatically to the song, available with a selection of drumming styles and techniques as well as a new feature called Flex Pitch, that allows for integrated pitch editing of recordings.

There’s also a new feature called Logic Remote, released as a companion app for the iPad, it will allow you to use the same version of Logic on your iPad as you do with the Mac.

In the US, Apple Logic Pro X will be available for $199.99 and MainStage 3 is available for $29.99, both from the Mac App Store.
