According to both AllThingsD and 9to5Mac, Apple has hired one of the consultants from the fitness industry who worked with Nike to produce the FuelBand line-up, with the aim of helping to develop the long-rumored iWatch.

That consultant is reportedly Jay Blahnik who, according to his website, has been a Nike consultant for nearly 20 years as well as being a key expert and consultant for many of Nike’s new Digital Sport initiatives that launched in 2012, including Nike+ Kinect Training and Nike+ FuelBand.” even working to develop the Nike Kinect training game.

But now reports are claiming that Blahnik will be joining the wearables team at Apple, which isn’t as farfetched as you might think give that Tim Cook also serves on the board of directors at Nike, alongside which Blahnik might have given the gig up anyway, responding to a question asking if ha joined Apple with the following:
