After being beaten by Macy’s, Apple has finally rolled out its iBeacon technology service to all of its 254 Apple stores in the US, allowing the stores to send messages about products and services as a user walks past beacons.

These messages can be sent to any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch that has the Apple Store application installed, and have granted the application permission to track you.

Once the user has done that your ready to go, granting you access to a new ‘in-store mode’ as you walk past a beacon in any Apple Store.

At the moment the service is only available in US based Apple Stores, and there’s no word if it will make its way to the UK or Europe.
