As you may know the rumours for new features on the iPhone truly never ends, this week we found a rumour from DigiTimes, that Apple will be adding NFC or Near Field Communications to the iPhone by 2012. You may be thinking other phones have had NFC for a long time now, the reason for Apple’s and even Microsoft’s delay, is due to how new the technology actually is, with no current agreements for where this technology should actually be going.

Recently NFC has gone through a lot of trouble trying to get popular next the obvious features we use every day such as Bluetooth, with only 45 manufacturers placing the technology on their devices, the technology has and extremely long way to go, personally, I’m not sure how far it will go.

What do you think? Do you use NFC? Will Apple add NFC functionality to their iPhone?
