TechCrunch has this week released a new report that claims that Apple has made yet another acquisition, this time in an augmented reality company called Metaio.
Metaio was first launched back in 2003 and was first spun out of Volkswagen.
However recently the company announced that they will not be taking any more customers, which may be because of the acquisition from Apple.
TechCrunch say that they have discovered that Metaio transferred shares to Apple on May 21st or May 22nd, however Apple has yet to confirm this, providing their usual response.
Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.
It is not yet clear what Apple might use this service for, or if the have even acquired it.
