Just after launching iOS 6.0.1 to consumers, Apple has begun to seed the beta for iOS 6.1 to developers, which is available to anyone with a developer account and can be downloaded to the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Xcode 4.6 will also be included within the download package, with a new MapKit that will allow developers to program their apps to search for map-based points of interest and return information that is relevant to that search query, “For example, searching the string “coffee’ would return the location of local coffee bars along with information about each one,” Apple explained.

Were unsure what exactly has been changed within the application, but after a quick look it seems as though Maps has been left unchanged, but if there are any updates we find to major we will let you know.
