It has been a long time to come, we have literally waited months to hear about this news with a range of rumours, leaks, and opinions during that time. Today is finally the time that we are going to get the official news about that new iPhone, which was unveiled during Apple’s event today.

It is called the iPhone 8 and as the name suggests, it is the continuation of the iPhone brand.

This new iPhone has been built to improve heavily upon the previous iPhone with a brand new CPU that is faster in all areas, alongside a new GPU that has been designed by Apple for the first time in the iPhone.

It also comes with their new pixel processing, and Apple’s own designed ISP for faster low-light performance, and general camera performance.

It also features a new 12MP camera, which has more pixels, a new colour filter, and optical image stabilisation inbuilt. The Plus comes with two 12MP dual cameras, one with a f/18 and the other with a f2.8 aperture.

Apple says that these new sensors will deliver not only sharper images and better images in low-light, but also better snaps when using portrait mode, which is Apple’s software feature that allows users to take images with a Bokeh effect (a blurred background).

But that’s not all, they also revealed a new feature called Portrait Lighting, which will use machine learning to change the lighting of the scene that you have taken, all while you are taking the photo, with a range of light features available.

And you can even change these effects after taking the photo.

And that’s still not all, Apple has also included their own video encoder for faster video capture, with a new software feature that will analyse the “tiles” of your shot and then optimise them for fantastic quality across the scene, or as Apple hopes it will.

And of course, it can record at 4K and still with slow-motion capture at 240fps 1080p.

They have also designed the iPhone 8 to work with augmented reality with custom tuned cameras and some new features in that previously talked about chip that makes augmented reality content more engaging and rich.

And as rumoured, Apple is finally making a big push towards wireless functionality, launching wireless charging thanks to that new glass back.

This wireless charging functionality will work with the Qi wireless charging standard with all compatible devices.

The iPhone 8 will be available in 64GB and 256GB storage configurations. The standard iPhone 8 will be $649 and the new iPhone 8 Plus will be $799, you will be able to pre-order both from September 15th and will launch on Setpember 22nd, iOS 11 will also launch on the 19th.
