In order to celebrate World Emoji Day (yes that is an event), Apple unveiled the new Emoji characters that they will be added to their various platforms, iOS, macOS, and watchOS.

The new emoji won’t be launched until later this year, however, Apple wanted to celebrate with an unveiling anyway and there are some pretty cools ones from a T-Rex to a zebra, to a zombie, and many more on top of those.

All of these new emoji will be launched as part of the launch of version 10.0.0 of the Unicode Standard from the Unicode Consortium, who recently announced the inclusion of these new 56 emoji.

Sadly, we don’t know when these emoji will actually be launched on Apple’s platforms just yet.

We expect that they will probably launch alongside iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra later this autumn.

We will update you as we hear more.
