Apple has just announced updates to its Macbook Pro with Retina Display range,the first of which is the 13 inch Pro, which now has 4th generation Intel Haswell processor, Intel Iris graphics, PCIe based flash, 802.11ac WiFi, Thunderbolt 2 and up to 9 hours of battery life.

The 15-inch Macbook Pro has also been updated with similar specs, however it also has Intel Iris Pro graphics, the option to add a GeForce GT 750M discrete graphics card, however the battery is a lower at up 8 hours battery life.

The 13 inch will be available from $1299 from today, and the 15-inch will be available from $1999 also from today.

In the UK the 13 inch model will be available from £1099 for the model with a 2.4GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage.

The 15 inch will cost £1699 for the base model, which features a 2.0GHz i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
