Apple has today released an updated version of its 2014 edition of the MacBook Air, with a new faster processor, that is now a 1.4GHz Core i5 Haswell CPU, which is an upgrade from the previous 1.3GHz processor.

The upgrade also means that the laptops also have a Turbo Boost speed of up to 2.7GHz rather than the provious 2.6GHz speed.

It’s not a huge upgrade and the rest of the specs are pretty much the same, with 4GB of RAM, a 128/ 256GB SSD, a 1,440 x 900 resolution display, an Intel HD 5000 GPU, Thurderbolt port, USB 3.0 port, and an SDXC card reader.

The upgrade does however also mean their is a price drop, with the price of the MacBook Air now down by up to £100, with models starting at £750 for the low-end model, and £1000 for the high-end model.
