It has been a long time coming but finally Apple has given in and added support for direct PayPal purchases in their stores, allowing users to make purchases on the App Store, iTunes, and the iBooks store with your PayPal balance.

You can also use it to subscribe to Apple Music.

Sadly, it is only available on iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Macs in Canada and Mexico and won’t be rolling out to other countries including the US till some point after today.

But this is still great news.

Personally, I find it annoying to have to use a credit or debit card with iTunes, especially for devices that are used by children. PayPal is a lot easier to use and you can manage it better with purchases for your children.

On top of that, it’s also widely used across markets because of its security and ease of use, making it a great option for anyone who has a card that doesn’t allow for online purchases.

To get started, you simply go into your account settings, click to change it to PayPal and sign into your account, no long numbers of security codes to type in.

As soon as this launches elsewhere we will be sure to update you.
