A source for MacRumors has revealed that Apple has sent hardware builders will receive the master copy of the new iOS in the last week of October, leading to a mid-October launch, this would be done in order to give manufacturers time to pre-install the operating system on the new iPhone 5 devices, making sure they ship with iOS 5 on board.

But we have already heard rumours of a mid-October launch making this rumour just a back-up of what we already knew, alongside a mid-October release the story also reveals that there is ‘no evidence’ of an iPhone 5 redesign, from which some people think that the device that will be launched will only have a small hardware upgrade, with nothing cosmetic.

At the moment we don’t know too much about the whole story, as such we cannot reveal too much of the iPhone 5 as of yet, but here’s hoping for a reveal date some day soon, but as soon as it does happen we will let you now.

What do you think? When will the iPhone 5 be released?
