Apple has just announced that its new 2013 model of the Mac Pro desktop will be available to purchase from tomorrow (Thursday 19 December), as was just announced on their website today.

The new Mac Pro has been completely redesigned with an aluminium enclosed circular design, featuring a unified thermal core in the centre, the new Pro is smaller, lighter and a lot better looking than the previous model, however it’s not just about its looks.

The Apple Mac Pro can feature either a 4-core, 6-core, 8-core or even a 12-core Intel Xeon processor, with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 3.9GHz. There’s also two AMD FirePro GPUs that are eight times more powerful in terms of graphics than the previous Mac Pros.

Also included is the new PCIe flash storage providing ten times faster read speeds, and ECC DDR3 RAM to make 4K video editing a breeze.

The Mac Pro will start at £2500, available from tomorrow.
