Archos has today announced yet another Android phone to hit the market.

Called the Archos Diamond S, it is a basic Android smartphone that features some less than basic specifications, one of which is the inclusion of a Super AMOLED screen, which is strange to see outside of a Samsung made device.

That display is also sized at 5 inches and has a 720 x 1,280 pixel resolution, so you won’t get the best screen quality with this one, but what you will get is an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz.

The smartphone also runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, with a 16 megapixel camera on the back and a 8 megapixel shooter on the front.

It also has LTE connectivity, dual-SIM support, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage space via a microSD card and a 2,300mAh battery.

The Archos Diamond S will be available in the US and Europe from November for £159.99.
