Yup, Archos are moving into the smartphone market, revealing a new line of budget smartphones dubbed the 35 Carbon, 50 Platinum and the 53 Platinum, all of which will run stock Android and include dual-SIM card capabilities.

The cheapest is the 35 Carbon, priced at £79.99 it includes a 3.5 inch IPS display with a 360×480 resolution, 4GB of storage, a microSD slot for up to 32GB of expansion, two VGA cameras (rear and front), a 1GHz Qualcomm 7225A processor, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and Android 4.0 ICS.

The ARCHOS 50 Platinum will cost a little more at £179.99, but you get a bit better specs, with a 5 inch IPS display including a 960×540 resolution, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm 8225Q processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage with microSD card capabilities as well as an 8 megapixel camera on the rear and a 2 megapixel on the front.

Finally you have the ARCHOS 53 Platinum, priced at £199.99, this model will include a 5.3 inch IPS display, with Android Jelly Bean, after which the specs are more or less the same as the previous model.

The full range will be available in Europe from May.
