According to GigaOm who have “well-placed sources” Google’s long rumoured and awaited cloud service will be launching in early April, the service which has been rumoured since 2006 will provide users with 1GB of storage space completely free, with options to upgrade space.

And even though this isn’t as god as what is currently offered by Dropbox, it’s also said there will be a local client and web interface with links to Google’s other services, as well as this sources also claim Google will be launching an API for third-party apps, obviously this isn’t 100% likely but it is possible.
