Do you have a problem with your MagSafe 2 cable dropping out on you? If so your one of many, many others who have noticed one of the biggest flaws in Apple’s magnetic design.

However now there’s a Kickstarter project that aims to solve your MacBook woes, called the Snuglet, it aims to keep your MagSafe cable right where it should be, in the charging port. Designed to stop the cable from falling out from the slightest tap, but still disconnecting from the port when pulled, it is said to fix these magnetic problems.

Basically a magnetic ring, it has been designed to work with all MagSafe 2 MacBooks, including the MacBook Air, Pro and the Pro with Retina Display as long as it was introduced after June 2012. MacBook Pro, and MacBook Pro with Retina Display models introduced after June 2012.

Personally I don’t have a problem with the port, but looking at the numbers from pledges it does seem to be common elsewhere in the Apple community.

If you one of those, you can find out more about the Snuglet on their Kickstarter page here.
