it was previously revealed that Tesco will be announcing its own tablet range, and that is now as confirmation as Tesco has just announced their first device to be shipped with their brand, called the Tesco hudi, it is a new tablet device that will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will be priced for the low-budget market at £119.

For that you get specs that include a 7 inch screen, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, front and rear-facing camera, 9 hour battery life and 16GB of storage, however there’s no 3G or 4G connectivity.

However it seems as though the device will not be aimed at the spec hunter, and it’s likely Tesco will be using it mainly to increase sales on their own services like Blinkbox and their online store.

The Tesco Hudi will be available from September 30th for £119, and will grant Tesco Clubcard owners more points, or can even be purchased using already earned points.

Tesco have also mentioned that if you do buy the tablet with vouchers it will cost just £60.
