The UK-based supermarket, Asda has today lowered the price of the Wii U to £149 for the Basic model or £199 for the Premium version, making it the lowest price ever for the console.

And this is only after the Wii U launched just six months go for £249 or £299 respectively.

After Asda originally made the £50 saving a thing, HMV and Amazon quickly followed, so where not sure if this is something set up by Nintendo themselves or by the retailers to get rid off some extra stock.

We should find out soon however, as more retailers decide to jump on the bandwagon.
