Ubisoft Montreal has today announced the next game to be released within the Assassin’s Creed series, revealing a first look at the game in a new gameplay trailer earlier today, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is a brand new game that follows the new protagonist Jacob Frye in his mission to take down a Templar stronghold, rescuing his companions and doing general assassin like stuff.

So pretty much the same as every other Assassin’s Creed game, but with a grappling hook that Jacob can use to climb buildings and biplane between them, vehicles like carriages which allow for transport across town and some extra gameplay sneers, and finally a new combat scheme, which uses weapons and hand-to-hand combat rather than the usual sword gameplay.

Also it is set in London.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate will launch for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23rd.

Until then you can check out the gameplay trailer above, and the screenshots below.
