Alongside the earlier announcement of the Transfor Book T300, ASUS announced a number of new tablets at this year’s IFA, and with all of them featuring different specs and designs, it’s going to be hard choosing the right one.
To kick it all of however, we will first talk about the Transformer Pad TF7101T, a new 10.1 inch Android tablet, it features specs that include a 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS display, a Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core processor, quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU and a 72 core GeForce GPU.
There’s also a front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera, rear-facing 5 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, Asus Sonicmaster speakers, USB 3.0 and a battery life that is said to last 17 hours.
All of which is enclosed in a metallic design that is just 8.9mm thick and weighs only 585 grams.
After which is a couple of new MeMoPad’s, the MeMo Pad 8 and the MeMo Pad 10, which feature 8 and 10 inch screens respectively, both also offer a 1280 x 800 resolution, microSD and microSDXC card slots and a 1.6Ghz quad-core processor,.
In size the MeMo Pad 8 is 127mm from side to side and weighs 350 grams, whist the Pad 10 weighs 522 grams, they also feature different cameras, with a 5 megapixel camera on the 8 and a 2 megapixel on the 10, both do also support 720p video recording and have a 1.2 megapixel camera, and in terms of storage, the MeMo Pad 10 has 8/16GB whereas the MeMo Pad 8 has 8GB.
Then there’s the FonePad Note 6, a 6 inch Android tablet, it has a Super IPS+ display with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, multi-touch screen, stylus and HSPA+ 3G connectivity.
Also featured is a rear facing 8 megapixel camera, front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera, Intel Atom Z2580 processor and 16/32GB of in-built storage.
All of which measures out at just 10.3mm thick and weighs 210 grams.
However if these are not your thing, there’s also the FonePad 7, a 7 inch Android tablet it has an Intel Atom Z2560 processor like the FonePad Note 6, but features a lower 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, however ASUS say that it features a faster HSPA+ 3G connection.
There’s also dual-front speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front, 5 megapixel camera on the back that can record Full HD video, a 3950mAh battery, 8/16/32GB of storage and a microSDXC card slot.
All of that comes in at 10.5mm thick with a weight of 340g.
The ASUS MeMoPad 8 and 10 will be available in the Uk from November 2013, however pricing and availability for the rest is yet to be revealed.
