Amongst many other products, ASUS has today revealed a couple of new Zenbook’s at IFA 2013, called the Zenbook UX301 and Zenbook UX302, both feature a scratch-resistance lid protected by Corning Gorilla Glass (something they actually scratch tested on stage), and a spinning metal design.
And then the choice comes into play, allowing buyers to choose between a 1,920-by-1,080-pixel display or a Retina like 2,560-by-1,440-pixel display for the UX301, however for the UX302 there’s no such choice, only giving the option of a 1920 x 1080 pixel display with a 178 degree viewing angle.
Both displays will however support 10-finger multitouch on Windows 8 as well as pack Intel’s fourth-gen Haswell chip, for which you can pick between the i5-4200U, i7-4500U or the i7-4558U for the UX301, or the i5-4200U/ i7-4500U for the UX302.
In terms of graphics the UX302 can be chosen with either an Intel HD Graphics 4400 GPU or a GeForce GT 730M with 2GB of VRAM, and the UX301 will only come with the option of an Intel HD graphics 5100 GPU.
The UX301 also has up to a 512GB RAID0 SATA3 SSD, and either 4 or 8GB of RAM, the UX302 has a 750GB HDD with a 16GB SSD cache and either 3 or 4 GB of RAM.
