When you think of Google’s Chrome OS, normally a Chromebook pops up, however ASUS has today announced something a little different, dubbed the ASUS Chromebox, it brings Chrome OS to the desktop. It will not include a monitor, keyboard or mouse, but will work with any keyboard, mouse or monitor you currently have.

Featuring a 4th Intel processor, WiFi connectivity, four USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, an SD card reader, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs with dual monitor support, and even support for a 4K UHD monitor.

All of which is designed to help the user access the normal Google applications as well as services like YouTube, Hulu and Netflix.

The Chromebox, is also completely fanless and will offer users 100GB of Google Drive space for 2 years.

The ASUS Chromebox will be available in March for $179 in the US.
