ASUS have today launched their latest 10.1 inch tablet to hit the UK, with an Intel Atom Processor and Full Windows 8 compatibility.

The tablets backlit display comes with a pixel resolution of 1366 x 768, which isn’t to great but thanks to IPS technology, ASUS say it can be viewed from a 178 degree wide-angle, the screen itself is of course touch sensitive using a 5 point multi-touch system, alongside which it will also include an optional TranSleeve Keyboard attachment that can both protect your screen and be used as a wireless keyboard or even rolled up into a stand.

ASUS have decided to use an Intel Atom Z2760 dual-core processor to power the tablet with around 8.5 hours a battery life from a single charge. They also included an 8 megapixel camera on the back with auto-focus and full 1080p HD video recording, there’s also a second 3 megapixel camera o the front.

The ASUS VivoTab™ ME400 will be available in white, blue and red from January 31st in the UK, within which it will be on sale at Argos and Carphone Warehouse for £399.
