There’s a ton of Android tablets around nowadays, but still more are coming into the market with the release of ASUS’s new 7 inch tablet, the ASUS MeMo Pad HD7 which will be launching in the UK on September 1st for £129, shortly after launching in the US for $149.

Featuring a 7 inch display with an 800 x 1280 pixel resolution, the MeMo Pad HD7 isn’t really HD, but the device does feature a quad-core MediaTek MTX 8125 processor that is clocked at 1.2GHz.

There’s also 1GB of RAM on-board with a 5 megapixel camera on the back, a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front, and all running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, as well as packing 8GB or 16GB of storage in-built, with a microSD card slot for expandability.

All in all however, were not to sure how this tablet will compete with the Nexus 7 2 that was released a few weeks ago.
