Asus has today announced the launch of a new monitor that will join their ROG line of monitors.

It has been dubbed the Asus ROG Swift PG258Q and features a fantastic 24.5-inch panel with a top-of-the-line 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time.

The monitor also comes with Nvidia’s G-Sync and Ultra Low Motion Blue display technology to minimise stuttering and screen tearing and to create a smoother, blur-free gameplay experience, so long as your PC can support that.

It also features a Full HD 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution.

But that isn’t all.

One of the biggest features of the displays is its lighting features, upping the usual bezel or logo lighting that we often see in monitors with there own ‘Light Signature’.

That signature not only lights up the monitor, but also the desk below it with a projection of an image.

This projection can be changed as you wish, with the option to choose between a couple of ROG logos or your own design via the three blank covers that can be changed to project whatever you want with a marker.

To top that off, it also features something called the ‘GamePlus’ hotkey, which will grant gamers access to extra features for games such as a crosshair or a timer.

To top that off, it also comes with Asus’ GameVisual tech to provide six selectable modes that will change the display for what you are watching, including FPS, RTS/RPG, racing, scenery, cinema, and sRGB modes.

Asus has not confirmed pricing for the monitor yet, however, they do say it will be on sale at the end of February.
