ASUS’s Transformer Prime is in my view pretty revolutionary, and includes some damn right amazing features, but this did not mean the device was without a few problems, to which ASUS is offering anyone who purchased the device here in the UK a full refund.
Since its release the device has had some issues with its Wi-Fi and connectivity, which lead to ASUS recently launching a lot of bug fixes and apologise, but the problem still doesn’t seem to have gone away, with many Brits still on happy with the device.
To which ASUS has now released a blog post, stating that anyone who purchased the device in the UK and is still finding problems will be able to take it back to the store they purchased it from for a full refund, alongside this for anybody who doesn’t like that option will get an extended 18-month warranty:
Any customers who have purchased a Transformer Prime TF201 and are dissatisfied with the performance of the GPS module are advised to return the unit to their point of purchase for a full refund as per standard consumer rights that apply in the UK.
Any customers who wish to keep their unit will be offered an extension to the standard ASUS warranty from 12 to 18 months (for any retailers who offer an additional 12 months’ warranty with their purchase, the total warranty period will remain at 2 years).
If you are somebody who is still affected by this Wi-Fi issue or wants to extend their warranty, ASUS advises you to ring their UK support team on, 0870 1208 340. It is extremely important to do this if you wish to receive the extended warranty as this will not be applied automatically.
