ASUS have today revealed a router that they claim to be the world’s fastest router, dubbed the ASUS AC1900 Gigabit Router, the dual-band wireless router is said to provide combined dual-band data rates of 1900Mbps.

Asus say this is three times faster than the 802.11n routers that are currently available on the market.

Asus have also fitted the router with Broadcom TurboQAM technology that increases the wireless N data to 600Mbps for 33% faster performance. There’s also 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections, as well as two USB 3.0 ports.

There’s also a dual-core processor for faster and more responsive performance when using Wi-Fi, Ethernet and USB connections.

ASUS say the router will be available in stores from October 9th 2013 for $219.
