ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced a new gaming mouse this week, called the GX860 Buzzard it is an ergonomically designed mouse that features LED lighting sections, a laser sensor and Omron switches.
One of the coolest features in the mouse is its LED lights which can switch between red, orange and green depending on the users current settings. The mouse also uses an ergonomic design that is said to feel great in any hand, with non-peeling, heat-resistant side grips that provide extra grip.
The mouse also features built-in forward and back buttons, along with a customisable thumb button. Of course it also has the usual left and right-click buttons which use switches from Omron that provide a “superior click feel and response” and have a 5 million click lifespan according to ASUS.
To top it all off the GX860 also has a laser sensor with a 50 – 8200 DPI resolution range, as well as smooth-gliding fluoropolymer feet that allow for smooth and precise cursor control.
The mouse also allows users to tap a two-way snap switch to change their DPI settings mid-game.
All of this is tied in with a software interface that was created by ROG to allow users to customise the mouse to their specific needs, allowing users to access DPI levels, button functions and illumination settings.
From the software they can also access options for angle-snapping, lift height cut-off, double-click speed and the USB polling rate, all of which can then be tested in a virtual test arena.
