Asus has today teased an image for its new square smartwatch that is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2014 in a couple of weeks.

The tease was a press invite that was posted on the Asus Twitter account, the tease shows what looks to be a square shaped smartwatch, with the message “@IFA Berlin Sept 3,2014” Continuing to quote the Labanese poet Kahlil Gibran: “Time has been transformed, and we have changed.”

This has been rumoured for some time, with sites suggesting that the wearable will run on Android Wear and will be priced around the same as Motorola’s, Samsung’s and LG’s solutions at between $99 and $199.

It is also said that it will feature an AMOLED display, and will be announced alongside a number of new tablets, laptops and smartphones.

However as of yet we don’t know anything official, so we will just have to wait until Asus announce it in Berlin next month.
