This week ASUS unveiled their latest addition to their line of Expedition motherboards with the announcement of the B150M, which follows on from their recent announcement of the ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Expedition graphics card.
All of the cards within this range has been designed to provide a durable and rugged selection of components that make them suitable for people who require more use out of a graphics card, such as in an internet gaming cafe.
In particular, the B150M Expedition features a socket LGA1151 motherboard that has DDR3 memory support with a total of two memory slots that feature support for up to 16GB of dual-channel DDR3-1866 RAM. On top of that, the motherboard features one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, two PCI-Express 3.0 x1 slots, four SATA 6Gbps ports, eight USB 3.0 ports with 6 on the back and two on the front.
To top that off, the motherboard has a single gigabit Ethernet interface via a Realtek RTL8111GR controller, alongside a gaming-grade Crystal Audio 2 onboard audio solution with a Realtek ALC887 6-channel HD audio CODEC, and a headphone amp.
It is a micro-ATX board so it is designed to be used in small form-factor cases, drawing power from a combination of 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS power connectors.
The board also features a PS/2 port for legacy input devices.
ASUS has not revealed any information on pricing or availability for anywhere in the world just yet, however, if they do they will reveal more soon.
