Earlier this week at Computex 2014, Asus unveiled a new product line called Strix, within which the first product to be unveiled was the Asus Strix Pro gaming headset, which takes its name from the ancient Roman and Greek word for owl according to the company.

There will also be a number of graphics cards unveiled for the range.

The headset in particular features 60mm neodymium-magnet drivers, with a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz and a sensitivity of 98dB SPL.

“Strix means the keenest hearing and sharpest eyesight and the ability to feel the environment, enabling the player to detect and react to even the slightest movement. Strix means survival on the very edge of instinct. Strix is in gamers’ blood, just as it is in ours.”

“The Strix brand will this year expand to include a wide variety of gaming gear, including exceptionally-agile mice, boundary-pushing keyboards, super-cool graphics cards and awesome gaming headsets.”

“The first products to appear are graphics cards and Strix Pro — a high-style gaming headset inspired by the owl’s unique combination of supreme hunting agility, great speed and highly-attuned hearing.” Asus said in its press release earlier this week.

The Asus Strix Pro gaming headset will be available to purchase next month priced at around $100.
