A new Twitch stream booted up on February 13th that I find incredibly interesting, called Twitch Plays Pokemon, it allows viewers to type commands into the comment box on the broadcasts stream to play Pokemon Red with all of the other viewers.

Seeing as there’s around 50,000 viewers at its peak, not much is really happening between walking in circles and cycling through the menu, but it will definitely be interesting to see how viewers managed to game collaboratively, whether they actually manage to get any further than simply saving the game is another question, especially given that has already happened a bunch of times since I started watching, something which is mostly down to the mix of both lag and trolls.

Check out the stream below and even join in if you feel up to it.
