Bang & Olufsen has this week announced the new Play A2 portable Bluetooth speaker which features a lightweight and easy to carry design.

Measuring 10.1 inches long, 5.6 inches wide and just 1.7 inches thick the Play A2 weighs only 1.1kg, making it one of the most portable Bluetooth speakers around. On top of that it will also be available in a range of different designs that can be chosen to the user’s preference and include green, black and gold.

On top of the speaker you will also find a carry strap, which means that you can simply hook the speaker onto something when in use, and easily carry it around when on the go.

Inside of the speaker there is a 100 watt digital class D amplifier, a 2 x 3 inch full range woofers, 2x 3 inch passive bass radiators, 2x 3/4 inch tweeters and Bluetooth technology.

There’s also a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery inside that B&O say will last up to 24 hours, with a USB connector on the side and a line in port to connect any device that doesn’t have Bluetooth and does have a 3.5mm connection.

The B&O Play A2 portable Bluetooth speaker is now available for £299 in the UK and $350 in the US.
