Bang & Olufsen has today announced the launch of their new Beosound Essence Sound System during CES 2014, designed to pair with any B&O powered speakers, it features two main components, one a remote control and the second a system control box, designed to plug into your router or straight into your music library source.

The remote control has however been designed to be placed more or less anywhere around the home, as either a free-floating remote, or fixed to a wall.

The system is also compatible with Apple’s AirPlay feature as well as DNLA, Spotify Connect, QPlay and a number of other internet radio stations.

The Bang and Olufsen Beosound Essence Sound System will be available in Q2 of this year, priced at $995 for both the remote and the system control remote, with additional remote controls available for $200 each.
