If you bank with Barclays Bank then you will be happy to know that your card now has more mobile features, connecting to Barclaycard’s new Android application to allow users to pay for items on the go.

Updated this week, the app is now enabled for NFC-based payments in the UK, ahead of the release of Android Pay.

Android users can download the application from the Google Play Store today on supported Android devices.

Once downloaded it will allow users to make payments of up to £30 via NFC technology, this limit will be increased to £100 in a number of other stores when you use your pin code to authorise purchases.

You can use the same login details to register for the mybarclaycard app. If not, you can still register using your card details instead.
