Barnes & Noble has announced a new partnership with Samsung to launch the Galaxy Tab S2 Nook.

As you can guess from the name, it is the same as the Galaxy Tab S2 but with a number of Nook applications pre-installed on it along with the normal ones.

The tablet features am 8.7-inch quad HD display with a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and a  5.6mm thin body that weighs just 392 grams.

There’s also an octa-core processor installed on the tablet, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a microSD card slot that allows for an extra 128GB of storage to be added.

On the back there is an 8 megapixel camera, which is joined by the 2.1 megapixel shooter on the front.

Finally there’s also an accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor and RGB sensor.

It will also come with a total of three free books from a selection of 20 titles, along with three free magazines and $5 worth of credit.

The tablet will be available in Barnes & Noble stores from today for $400.
