Some time ago Microsoft revealed that the Beam service that they recently acquired will be coming to the Xbox One soon and that day is today, well at least for Xbox Insider members.

This was revealed on the Xbox News website by the co-founder and Beam Engineering Lead at Microsoft who stated that the app will be rolled out to selected Xbox Insider Program members from today, after which it will launch to all users this spring.

Beam allows gamers to stream in a completely different way, allowing them to not only stream themselves gaming but also allow them to play and interact with their viewers in real-time.

Viewers will be able to watch, chat, and interact in real-time from their iOS, Android, Windows 10, or Xbox One device, from where they can browse, search, and follow game streams, for every five minutes that they watch a stream they will earn 10 XP and for every minute they will earn two Sparks, which you would then use to interact and participate with the stream that you are watching, with options that have been set by the streamer themselves.

They can set it to allow users to send a variety of messages or to change how the game progresses, with options that they can select to change how you play the game on your stream.

It’s all pretty interesting stuff, you can take a closer look via the video below.
