Beats by Dr.Dre is not only known for their dominance of the headphone market as they are starting to make their way into the speaker market with a new set of speakers shaped in the form of a pill.

The new wireless speakers come with Beats Audio technology at the forefront, promising the same great audio experience that you’ll find in their headphone range, the speakers also include a built-in mic and echo cancellation that can pair with your mobile phone and can be used to make and receive calls as well as playing music.

The speakers connect to your device via Bluetooth technology, and with in-built NFC technology compatible phones can be paired by simply tapping the two together, music stored on your device can then be paired wirelessly for up to seven hours before you’ll need to charge the Pill again.

When you do need to charge the Beats Pill you can do so via USB, but that might not need to happen to often as the Pill will automatically switch off when Bluetooth or NFC signal has been lost for more than 30 minutes.

The Beats Pill can be pre-ordered from today in one of the 3 colours currently available which include, black, white and red but additional colours will be available in the near future, the Pill will however cost £169.95 and will not ship till November 5th.

But don’t worry just yet, as the company isn’t moving fully away from their usual headphone range, with a new set of headphones named the Beats By Dr.Dre Executive Headphones made from a combination of aluminium alloy, stainless steel and leather.

The headphones feature Active Noise Cancellation, which they claim to ensure a disturbance free listening experience even when flying at 35,000 feet according to the company, the headphones are also compatible with the iPhone and the iOS operating system.

The Beats By Dr.Dre Executive Headphones are also available to pre-order from today for £269.95 and will release on October 29th.
