[Update Feb 10th] The BeatsX wireless headphones are now available, they are priced at $149 in the US and £129 in the UK. You can pick them up from Apple’s website today.

[Original Story Feb 7th] Some time ago Apple teased the upcoming release of a set of wireless earbuds from Beats called the BeatsX. They were put forward as one of the new headphone options after the death of the 3.5mm jack with the iPhone 7, however, people having been waiting some time for them since that original unveiling.

But the wait is almost over, as we confirmed today, the BeatsX wireless earbuds will be available from February 10th with black and white colour options available.

It has also been said that blue and gray versions will soon follow after the release of these colours.

They will be seen as a major alternative to Apple’s AirPods, featuring the same Q1 chip as the AirPods and Beats’ Fast Fuel quick charging technology.

W1 will allow for quick pairing over Bluetooth connections and Fast Fuel will allow you to get two hours of charge from just five minutes of the earbuds being plugged in.

They also feature an in-line remote.

The new headphones will be available on February 10th in the US from both Apple and Beats websites, as well as from Apple’s retail stores and probably other retail stores for $150. We don’t yet know pricing or availability for other regions.
