BenQ has today announced what they are saying is the world’s first wireless projector with 5GHz WHDI technology, boosting the ability to wirelessly stream Full HD 3D content using Wireless Home Digital Interface technology, allowing for control even from a smartphone.

Alongside that, BenQ have also added Colorific technology as well as their SmartEco lamp-saving technology, for crisp colours that don’t use all your electric.

Able to stream content from a Blu-Ray or DVD player, AV-R player, set-top box or even a gaming console without the need for any cables, the W1500 can stream content from almost anything, with AirPlay integration, it can even be used with an iPad or Apple TV.

The W1500 also features 2x 10W speakers, SRS Wow audio technology, vertical lens shifting, 1.6x zoom capabilities and a short-throw ratio of 84 inches from 6 feet away.

The BenQ W1500 FHD wireless projector will begin shipping today from $2,299 in the US.
