We love featuring crowdfunding projects from the Indiegogo and Kickstarter sites where you will often find some cool tech projects.
We have featured a lot of these projects over the year of 2016, with everything from brand new headphones to 3D printers to cool MIDI keyboard to awesome Raspberry Pi tech.
With the end of 2016, we thought that we would round up all of the best Kickstarter and Indiegogo projects from the year, check them out below.
Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega+
Back in February a company named Retro Computers took to Indiegogo to modernise the iconic ZX Spectrum into a handheld console, featuring modern graphics and controls with 1,000 games pre-installed.
In total it raised £500,000 on the platform.
Vamp Stereo was a cool device that was launched on Kickstarter, designed to modernise your already existing speakers, it is capable of powering up to two speakers and providing you with Bluetooth audio.
It successfully raised £107,950 on Kickstarter.
Protonet ZOE Smart Home Hub
The Protonet ZOE was an Indiegogo project that successfully raised a total of $318,579 to launch a new smart home hub router that is designed to connect all of your smart home devices to one place.
Das Keyboard 5Q
The Das Keyboard 5Q is something that we can’t wait for here at TechNutty, in fact, we already have one pre-ordered. It is a keyboard to connects to the internet to provide you with a great way to receive notifications right on your keyboard.
Airblock Modular Drone
We have seen a lot of cool drones unveiled this year, but one of the coolest isn’t actually available just yet. Called Airblock, it is an awesome look at the drone market that makes drones more accessible, flexible and useful by making drones modular.
Fidget Cube was a project that not only surprised us and that surprised the world, at its basis this cube is a simple idea that combines a cube with a number of buttons and switches to play with the fix fidgeting. Despite its simplicity, it raised a massive amount of money, with a total of $6,465,690 in funding.
JOUÉ Modular MIDI Controller
JOUÉ is a device that was launched on Kickstarter recently, designed to be the most expansive MIDI controller, it is a modular MIDI controller that can allow you to create a range of sounds from one device. It hasn’t finished yet, so be sure to click the link to find out more.
Robo C2 and R2 Smart 3D Printers
The Robo C2 and R3 smart 3D printers were launched on Kickstarter earlier this year, raising a total of $382,027 to launch Wi-Fi connected 3D printers.
The Instrument 1 was another music creation device that impressed us in 2016 and is basically an electronic instrument that combines the guitar, violin, piano, and other intstruments into one device.
