Samsung SmartThings platform is a pretty easy way to get started with setting up a smart home. That’s thanks to Samsung’s integrations and design for the platform which is to launch a number of smart home products that just work.

With the SmartThings hub you can control all of these devices with light, speaker, lock, thermostat, sensor and other integrations.

And it allows you to control all of those over the SmartThings app or via other smart home devices like Amazon Alexa.

Google Home is an alternative to the Amazon Echo, it is designed by Google as the name suggests and it comes with the integration that you would expect from Google, with Google Assistant inside.

Some people prefer Google Home because it can control Google devices and because Google knows more answers to your questions, however, it is not as fully featured in terms of its smart home capabilities.

Wink Hub 2

The Wink Hub 2 is a pretty sleek smart home hub that not only looks pretty great but also works great for setting up and controlling a smart home, particularly for beginners, however, the hub is only available in the UK at the moment sadly.

It is fully compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Lutron Clear Connect, and Kidde devices and it can connect to those with Bluetooth LE, Z-Wave or Zigbee.

To top that off, it supports Google’s Thread interface with 5GHz Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port.

Logitech Circle 2 Security Camera

The Logi Circle 2 is a pretty awesome smart home security camera that we think looks amazing but it’s not just that, the Circle 2 has some great features such as Full HD 1080p recording with a 180-degree glass lens that ensures the footage that it captures is great looking.

It also has various smart home features with smart alerts that allow you to get notified when a person is detected. It also has free access to the last 24-hours of footage or you can upgrade that with more storage.

If you want to make your thermostat smart than the ecobee3 lite smart thermostat is definitely one of the best ways to do that.
