Well it seems the Facebook protesters have finally got their new game ending for Mass Effect 3, as today Bioware announced that they will be releasing a new DLC pack to give fan who are “seeking further clarity” a better ending for mass effect 3, which according to Bioware will provide “deeper insights” into how the journey concludes, Dr. Ray Muzyka the Co-Founder of BioWare and General Manager of EA’s BioWare Label said this about the new DLC:
“We are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by Casey Hudson and team, [sic] Since launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding. With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.”
This is more han likely a direct response to fans who where angered by the ending of Mass Effect 3, who began a petition for BioWare to create a new ending for the title, or maybe the cupcakes they sent actually appealed to Bioware’s sweet tooth, we may never know, but we do know we now have an ending which will hopefully please all of the angry fans that are still out there.
Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is due for release this summer and will be made available for download on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC completely free, as long as you download it before the 12th of April 2014, which makes sense.
