For some time now we have been hearing various rumours about an upcoming Android smartphone from BlackBerry.

This week, that smartphone has become official and has been confirmed to be called the BlackBerry DTEK60.

This week, BlackBerry announced that the DTEK60 will be available in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands for $499.

It will come with a 5.5-inch display that has a Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of inbuilt storage.

It also features a microSD card slot to expand that storage by up to 2TB, along with a 3,000 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 21-megapixel camera on the back.

The device also features a fingerprint sensor.
