BlackBerry has today announced that their BBM app for Android and the iPhone will begin rolling out around the world from today, available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store, the app will roll out in a “line-up system” in order to maintain a smooth rollout worldwide, similar to what Mailbox first did when it launched.

To install the app, simply visit bbm.com from your iPhone or Android browser, and then open it up, and enter your address, after which, once your turn pops up BlackBerry will email you to confirm that you can now user the app.

However those who have already signed up at bbm.com can skip the line.

BlackBerry also revealed that users in Sub-Sahara Africa using a Samsung device will be able to download the app through the Samsung Apps Store, those using iPhones or other Android phones in Africa will have to wait another three days however.
