A UK-based company called Blocks have today announced their development of a modular smartwatch, called the Blocks Modular Smartwatch, the company didn’t provide much in terms of details for the watch, but they did reveal that the device is currently in production via their website.

Also on their website they explain that the smartwatch will be designed to be fully customisable, allowing users to add and swap out individual blocks, adding various features to the watch itself.

For example a user could add a built-in heart rate monitor, a camera, or even a GPS tracker.

Check out the video below for a quick look at the watch. At the moment there’s no details as to a release date or price for the modular smartwatch, but it is said to hit markets sometime in 2015.
